Planning Board Cuts Trotter's Lane Bond to $45,000, Endorses Walnut Street Plan
NORTH ATTLEBORO — January 27, 2020 — North Attleborough Planning Board cuts Trotter's Lane performance bond by 93 percent at January meeting. The board voted unanimously to reduce the bond from $495,000 to $45,000, reflecting remaining construction work estimated by Graves Engineering and leaving roughly a 20 percent contingency. Members also endorsed an approval-not-required plan for 79 and 81 Walnut Street, creating a new residential lot that carries a Zoning Board of Appeals variance for lot area — the parcel holds approximately 36,000 square feet against a 44,000-square-foot requirement. A sidewalk bond for Miramichi Estates on Messenger Street was released after the Department of Public Works signed off on the completed work. In a planning agent update, staff flagged mounting frustration with a $9,500 fire-protection water study for a proposed biomedical conversion, saying the consultant had delivered a study but no actionable recommendations, and that additional funds would be needed to move forward.
