Planning Board Approves Jackson Farm Subdivision With New Island HOA and Curbing Conditions

NORTH ATTLEBORO — March 3, 2022 — North Attleborough Planning Board approves Jackson Farm definitive subdivision with new maintenance and curbing conditions. The board voted 4-0-1 Thursday to close the public hearing and approve the definitive plan for Jackson Farm, Mill Street Preserve at 12 Kelly Boulevard, adding two new special conditions over the objections of the Department of Public Works, which had sought roadwide vertical granite curbing and removal of the project's boulevard island. Member Greg Walsh said it was "unfair to shift the goalposts" on a nearly complete application, and the board rejected the DPW's broader curbing demand while agreeing to require vertical granite curbing on the island alone and a homeowners association to maintain it. The board also voted 4-0-1 to approve a Level 2 Site Plan and Adult Use Marijuana Special Permit for Greenleaf at 91 George 11th Drive and set a $41,000 performance bond for New England Dance Academy at 165 John D. Square.
