Kids Day Parade Returns to Downtown North Attleborough Saturday

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — The Town of North Attleborough has moved to Stage 2 outdoor water restrictions, tightening the rules on outdoor water use for residents, even as the town's Firefighters Kids Day Association drew families downtown Saturday for the return of the Kids Day Parade.

The town announced it has implemented a Stage 2 outdoor water restriction, the latest step in an escalating effort to manage water demand; town officials did not immediately detail the specific new limits on outdoor water use in the announcement posted to the town's News Flash feed.

Fire Chief Christopher Coleman announced that the North Attleborough Fire Department is recognizing a round of promotions, new hires and service milestones among its ranks, according to a News Flash release from the department.

Separately, the town has opened applications for the Fiscal Year 2027 Means-Tested Senior Property Tax Exemption, giving eligible senior homeowners a new window to apply for relief on their property tax bills.

Downtown, the North Attleboro Firefighters Kids Day Association kicked off its Kids Day Weekend, running Thursday, July 16 through Sunday, July 19. The centerpiece was Saturday's Kids Day Parade, which stepped off at 11 a.m. with a walking celebration through downtown, continuing one of the town's longtime summer traditions.

On Monday, July 20, the Board of Assessors, the Board of Library Trustees and the Cultural Council each hold public meetings.
