Conservation Commission Elects New Chair, Acts on Five Land-Use Applications

NORTH ATTLEBORO — July 30, 2024 — North Attleborough's Conservation Commission elected a new chair and resolved five land-use cases at its July 30 meeting. Member Jessica Tenzar was unanimously elected chair, replacing Kimberly Ciaramicoli at her final meeting, with Jillian Miller retained as vice chair. The board issued three unanimous negative determinations of applicability — for a storage shed at 36 Hirsch Lane within a stream's riverfront area, a seven-foot dock extension restoring the pre-2015 footprint at 57 Leona Road on Bungay Lake, and a 12-by-20-foot tool shed at 34 Atlantic Road near a mapped floodway — and approved a minor modification allowing a ready-rock retaining wall and granite stairs within the 25-foot no-disturb zone at 160 Oak Ridge Avenue. The commission released 682 Hickory Road from a multi-year steep-slope order of conditions and granted a partial certificate of compliance for 126 Reservoir Street, freeing one house lot from a broader order tied to the Westcott Estates mobile-home-park development while leaving that project's remaining obligations outstanding.
